Nepal Stopover (5-days)

This short trip highlights Kathmandu valley and surrounding area, the capital and political hub of Nepal. The valley is divided into three main historical towns: Kathmandu, Patan & Bhaktapur. Your guided tour includes all the major historical and cultural sites in the valley. Kathmandu valley and its rim hills are famous for panoramic views of Mountains and the Himalayas as well.

The trip includes visiting Nagarkot, one of the popular hill stations for Sunrise and Himalayan view (on clear weather days). Nagarkot is situated at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level and east of Bhaktapur. Your guided tour covers most of the historical places, temples, including some of the World Heritage sites and shopping area too.


Itinerary

DAY 01 – ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU

Upon arrival at the airport, met and greet transfer to hotel. Rest free time to overcome from jetlag.

 

DAY 02 – KATHMANDU

After breakfast at hotel, about 9 am - we proceed to visit Kathmandu Durbar Squares – the old palace complexes and temples located in the center of Kathmandu old city. After Kathmandu DS, we will continue to visit the glorious Buddhist temple “Swayambhunath stupa”, also called as the Monkey Temple. Swayambhunath stupa was built in 1st century and one of the most important places of the Buddhist people. Afternoon, we will visit Patan Durbar Squares, the old palace of Patan and temple complexes. Patan is well known as city of art and architecture. Return to hotel for rest and leisure…

 

DAY 03 – KATHMANDU –BHAKTAPUR – NAGARKOT

After breakfast at hotel, we precede a day trip to visit Bhaktapur, also known as Bhadgoan. Bhaktapur Durbar Squares and the temple complexes are listed in the World Heritage site. Afternoon further drive up to Nagarkot for Sunset views (W/P) and overnight at a medium mountain resort.

 

DAY 04 – NAGARKOT – Bouddhanath - KATHMANDU

After breakfast and morning view from Nagarkot, we drive back to Kathmandu, en route stop by Bouddhanath stupa, the largest Buddhist shrine in Nepal, also known as “little Tibet”. We will have some time here (may be you take your lunch) and afternoon drive back to your hotel.

 

DAY 05 – DEPARTURE FROM KATHMANDU

After breakfast at the hotel, free time as per your flight, we will transfer you to airport for your flight back home or next destination. Namaste! End of the trip.
